I was born in Hythe in 1938 and lived there until 1960.I went to the local primary school before going to the Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone .I played cricket and football for Hythe.I wondered if anyone remembers me!

There are plans to demolish two houses (1 and 3 Napier Gardens) and to erect a block of 7 flats.
Here's an email we received from a local resident:
The plan to construct seven flats on this site and not provide enough car parking is yet another example of environmental chaos. It's silly to hope that people that occupy these premises will not have cars; what family doesn't nowadays. Any new development should make provisions for adequate off-road parking.
When the Nicholls Quarry development goes ahead it may bring as many as seven hundred cars into Hythe each week so where is the multi-story car park to accommodate this? You may consider this a separate issue but it is irrevocably linked. Every development WITHOUT adequate parking is a recipe for chaos.
